StageWorks Performance Classes

StageWorks Performance Classes

Killarney School of Music is excited to announce the launch of our new “StageWorks” Performance Classes.

Prepare to SHINE with our new approach to developing live performance skills with StageWorks. This group class will combine various musicians, singers, dancers and story-tellers to prepare high quality live performance material.

In this class the students will learn all aspects of achieving excellence in live stage performance. This will include presentation skills, good tuning, timing, musical arrangement, harmony, use of amplification, audience interaction and accompaniment. Each group will prepare high quality live performance material and live performances will be integral part of the course.

Background

The idea for this course stems from the success of the Traditional Performance Group, which was originally just a pilot project. Students who participated in this class have not only gained a new set of musical, technical, social, practical, teamwork and creative skills, but they have also all gained tremendous personal self-confidence, satisfaction and competence from the experience. They have won the hearts of their audiences and are always very well received. Many of the original members have gone on to form their own groups/bands and find their own performance opportunities which they can now fulfil with great professionalism.

StageWorks aims to replicate this success story for many more student of Killarney School of Music.  It’s all about being prepared and able to deliver quality performances when the opportunities arise.
